Director & Instructor
Shalet Peyton is the youngest daughter of Terry and Jack and of course, has danced her entire life. Shalet’s past experiences have taken her to Los Angeles, California, where she performed in commercials, videos, modeling and became a member of a five girl singing group named “Nothin' But the Truth” which opened for Regina Bell.
She moved to Los Angeles at the age of 19 and received a full scholarship to Tremaine’s Dance Center. She trained with Margarite Derricks (choreographer for “Austin Powers”), Wade Robson (choreographer for Britney Spears and N-Sync), Carla and Melissa (choreographers for Prince). Shalet continued to work with Carla and Melissa after completing her scholarship.
Shalet has earned many awards and honors. The most recent was at the Star Power National Dance Competition in Myrtle Beach. There, Shalet won The Top Teacher Award as well as Top Choreographer.
TSD's students know first hand just how much love Shalet has for her "dance family." Shalet's passion is to inspire kids to be at their best is only matched by her heart of gold and great sense of humor -- all of which is what drives TSD as a major force in the dance community.
